Renegades have announced that they have completed the signing of Keith “NAF” Markovic from OpTic Gaming.

The Canadian player becomes Renegades’ permanent fifth player after the two North American organisations reached an agreement over his transfer for an undisclosed fee.

This means that David “Jayzwalkingz” Kempner has been given his marching orders after just two weeks on trial. He made his first offline appearance for Renegades only a few days ago, at DreamHack Masters Malmo, where the team finished third of their group following defeats to Astralis and Natus Vincere.

NAF moves to Renegades after 18 months on OpTic

Keith “NAF” Markovic’s future at OpTic Gaming had been the subject of speculation since the North American organisation signed four European players to join Óscar“mixwell” Cañellas. During his 18-month tenure with OpTic, the team most notably won ELEAGUE Season 2 and placed second at the ECS Season 2 finals.

With NAF’s signing, Renegades will have:

Australia Aaron “AZR” Ward
Australia Justin “jks” Savage
Australia Karlo “USTILO” Pivac
United States Noah “Nifty” Francis
Canada Keith “NAF” Markovic

Serbia Aleksandar “kassad” Trifunović (coach)
